pondering
october 19th, 2018
I have pondered this world
more deeply
more pitifully
than any one man ever should
more than you know
more than you want to find out
a philosopher's child
born Absurd, of the twisted desires
of two souls
just searching for love
we all search for love
some find it; living my fantasy
others drown in it
quickly
like a riptide
I find love, and I know
that when the moon pulls the tides
over my heart
fills my lungs
I should breathe, son of Poseidon
yet I
sink
Athena's curse plagues me
a bitter stoicism
wondering
pondering
if I will ever love another in that way
unconditionally
irrevocably
till death do us part
* back to drops *
