it feels like we are one
unbothered by proximity
understanding without words
that its love that connects us

you told me you stopped
playing piano
so i took your slender fingers in mine
and my encouraging hands
now float above yours while you play

even now i am still a harlot
my body too wasted and torn to understand
how it feels to be touched
